You MUST be a member to adopt!
These are the newest rescues- they need an owner willing to actively take care of them and nurse them back to health, including boarding them, taking them to the vet, farrier, buying them food, etc.
When they are healthy, you will be able to show them, etc.
Note: Some horses say 50/50. This means the horse is very sick, and even if you take him/her to the vet, they may not survive. This will be decided completely randomly within one week of your adoption (by a coin flip or some other equal form of decision. You will be notified either way.)
You may only adopt when all of your other horses are healthy!! (for example, if I post rescues one week, and you take on a very sick horse, and by the next week, when I post rescues again, it your horse is not healthy, you need to focus on that horse and you will not be able to adopt that week.)
Here they are!
Jumble
5 year old 14 hand appaloosa gelding.
He's a sweetheart, very kind and gentle. He was becoming one of the sweetest trail horses at a children's camp, despite his young age. The camp shut down, and he was left out to pasture with several other horses. He's malnourished, possibly has worms, and has very overgrown hooves. Some TLC should get this good boy fixed up in no time.
Dagon -ADOPTED- by Angel
A large 17 hand 6 year old black stallion
This boy will need lots of breaking and training. He has basically been out to pasture his whole life. He needs some good grain, hoof care, and all basic vaccinations and vet care, but most of all is the training. He isn't even halter broke!
Deacon
15h 18yr old chestnut thoroughbred gelding
Deacon is the opposite of Dagon, even though they came from the same farm. He is about the same level of neglect, but due to his age, he has taken things a lot harder than dagon. His coat is falling off, most likely from rain rot. He is always very calm, but almost in a droopy sense. He walks slowly with his head down (and is halter broke and leads very well, but we obviously haven't tried to put a saddle or anything on him yet) but will still nuzzle your arm with affection, as if saying thank you.
Lila
This a 50/50 case
This 15.5 hand grey mare has been overbred in absolute squalor. She has been confined to a small stall, where she was nearly up to her knees in manure by the time we found her. She has several cuts across her back which seem old but havent been able to heal because of her living conditions. She seems very wary of everyone who has handled her, but hasn't lashed out at all yet. This could be due to her extreme malnourishment.
Squeeze
7 year old 16 hand bay standardbred mare.
She will be beautiful when she gets a good home! She has very severely overgrown hooves and hoof rot- she needs somewhere soft and dry to walk and stand on her hooves after she sees the farrier. She'll take some time to heal. She is also actually overweight contrary to nearly all the other rescues we get. This of course is not helping her with the extra pressure on her already severely damaged hooves. Her personality seems a little flighty, but nothing unusual or excessive for her breed.
